About Us

Does your dog run up to and jump on family and friends coming to the door, pull you down the street, dig up your flower beds, or have you repeating yourself as if talking to a wall?

If so, O4K9 can help.

The O4K9 training program is an 10-week intensive that uses Blake’s “Molding Method” to teach dogs not only to conform to the standard, but to love it. Unlike positive-enforcement-only methods the Molding Method requires much diligence on the part of the dog’s owner, but ensures that the training is long-lasting and effective

Overview of the Program

The O4K9 program consists of eight weekly 1-hour-long sessions. Each session focuses on teaching the dog new commands and evaluating the progress of old commands. The commands taught in the course are as follows: Sit, Down, Come, Heel, Place, and Off.

Each new command the dog learns is designed to build upon the last. Dogs learn patience and attentiveness early on through the first three commands (Sit, Down, and Come); the next two commands (Heel and Place) further establish these principles. Additionally, each of the above commands are taught both in proximity to and at distance from the dog; this teaches the dog to obey when it is nearby as well as when it is at a distance.
